Thanks to its internationally patented active ingredient, it eliminates most polluting gases through a natural process without using chemicals. Its special micro-alveolar structure exploits the humidity of the environment to generate ionised silver ion water with antibacterial properties.

The most
common pollutants in our homes

Volatile organic compounds (VOC) from paints, impregnants, building materials, and polyurethane foams cause skin irritation, neurological problems, liver damage and, in high concentrations, can be carcinogenic.
In rooms with thermal bridges and high levels of humidity, mould and yeast growth is favoured, causing respiratory allergies such as asthma, conjunctivitis, eye infections, rhinitis and dermatitis.

FORMALDEHYDE

Contained in chemical resins used for bonding chipboard, plywood and within insulation foams, paper adhesives, coatings and synthetic fabrics. It causes irritation to the eyes, respiratory tract and skin.

PENTACHLOROPHENOL

Used as a fungicide in wood, present on furniture, paper and leather. It causes irritation of the mucous membranes and skin and affects the neurological balance.

RADON

This is a radioactive gas that, as it accumulates inside homes, attaches itself to suspended dust particles, making them radioactive. It is considered one of the main causes of the development of lung cancer.

MICROPOWDER

Airborne solid and liquid particles with a relatively small size, generated by human activity and combustion processes.

ION - Advanced Technology

Ion by Isoldesign is composed of nanoparticles of silver and ceramic glass, hollow glass microspheres and colloidal silicas, using modified potassium silicate as a binder.
This foaming compound creates a hygroscopic environment thanks to its fine, communicating micro-bubbles. Inside, a patented active ingredient emits negative ions, with an energy of 0.05 mA, which interact with the humidity of the environment and silver nanoparticles, creating ionised water molecules with antibacterial properties. This process makes the surface self-cleaning, removing organic dirt from the walls.

The data in the graph reflect the abatement of formaldehyde concentration after the application of Ion by Isoldesign on panels of various sizes, placed in a volume of 1m3 saturated with a formaldehyde concentration of 15–18 ppm.

Classic anti-mould paints are defined as such because they contain an antibacterial chemical within them, which is harmful to health. Ion by Isoldesign can create a strong antibacterial barrier and prevent the adhesion of all organic particles, sanitising indoor environments. Ionisation makes the air cleaner and purer, while silver replaces normal anti-algae and anti-mould products that are often toxic. Anions and Numbers

An anion is an atom or molecule that has acquired a negative electric charge (electron), thus becoming a negative ion.
All living things are closely related to anions, their charge lasts only a few moments but plays an important role in life processes. The presence of anions affects the biochemical balance of every living thing. In nature, anions are present in the air through the action of ultraviolet rays from the sun, chlorophyll from plants and lightning.

High concentrations of negative ions in nature have been found mainly in the air of mountain forests, near waterfalls and on beaches.
On the other hand, measurements inside homes have revealed high amounts of positive (harmful) ions, caused by the presence of numerous electromagnetic fields in our environment.

Their beneficial effect was first discovered in 1932 by Dr C.W. Hansell in the laboratories of the RCA. He noted how the presence of an excessive amount of positive ions can cause symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, migraine, depression and shortness of breath. On the contrary, negative ions produce beneficial effects on our body.
Research carried out in the medical field has shown that anions absorbed in the lungs have beneficial effects on health, reducing disorders related to asthma and the respiratory system.
